Diamond John Huddleston
John Huddleston in August 1906 and made himself and the State of Arkansas famous. After the discovery of Diamonds on his farm land, he was recognized as the first person outside South Africa to find diamonds.
His grave site is located 3 mile south of the Diamond Mine at the Japany Cemetery.
The Month of June has been dedicated “Diamonds in Arkansas Month.” The State Park sponsors a annual "John Huddleston Day" and the town of Murfreesboro has a "Diamond Festival" to honor John Huddleston.
